Is it possible to find one person among the conservatives of this nation that feels the goodness on which this nation was founded, one that hold to the duty of seeking the highest and best good for its people? One, such as Washington that was dynamic and yet humble? Do we now see in the one that has the same position of power a veneration for this country born of time, duty, and sacrifice? Do we see the seeking of the highest and best good for this nation? If one can be found that can be juxtaposed in word and deed to the equivocating rhetoric and responses to the call leadership, decision, action of the one we now call our President, I sincerely pray our populace will have within their breast the patriotism to support such a one and preserve this land for posterity. Let us strive to live upward tto the standard George Washington has put before us, and cherish the gift of liberty given by our Creator.
A career politician is a “corrupt” politician. For they no longer see a sacrifice for their country, but a means to a way of making a living (and off other people’s money OPM). Not, by creating a value for defense, infrastructure, and freedom for a return investment of your tax dollar, but by stealing in the name of taxation, to bring value to their standard of living way beyond what a “term limitation” would endure!!
You need to check out the school books being used today. Our young people are not being taught about George Washinton and the other true patriots that helped to make our country great. We used to be governed by the moral majority and there is no moral majority anymore. Our country is suffering because of this.
Isn’t the entire addess available? When I click the link the only thing that comes up is that picture and quote. I was interested in the entire IA. What did I do wrong?
Lorene Carden, the moderator is just building that site. It’s only existed about a week or two. He does give you the source so you can google for the entire speech. He’s got a lot up for the short period he’s been working on it, and I believe you’ll probably be able to find complete refs in the future where now we only have quotes with sources.
Thank you moderator for building this site. It will serve as a great source of information conveniently located. Kudos. I also like the impartiality.
Becky, Political History was replaced with Social Studies. That was the end of education and the beginning of socialization. Public Education today has nothing whatsoever to do with Thomas Jefferson’s historic call for “general education to enable every man to judge for himself what will secure or endanger his freedom.”
Public Education is not about training for good citizenship anymore, its been hijacked and turned into a “worker farm,” much like college football teams are farm teams for the NFL.
This man is what a True Hero is all about!!
Ahhhhhh!! To have another George Washington as President!
True…true….
He was God’s answer for America!

i wish we had more like Washington,Raegan, all the really really good ones you know you can trust!!
Such humility! It was never about Washington but about service. He cared about his reputation more than his comforts or gain.

Social studies is just history and geography.
Lorene, you can find that (along with many other things) at Yale’s Avalon site, which I usually find by googling the words Yale Avalon.
